The Bridge is one of Muldersdrifts hidden treasures. WE DO NOT CHARGE VENUE HIRE! You only pay for food and drinks and we offer exclusivity at The Bridge for the duration of your function. An old converted farmhouse set in tranquil gardens beside the banks of the Wilgespruit. The river runs over the low level bridge that takes you to indigenous gardens where willow and large stinkwood trees, amongst others, surround fountains, well maintained lawns and beautiful flower beds. The Bridge in Muldersdrift is the ideal setting for celebrations of all kinds and is conveniently situated only 20 minutes from Randburg and Fourways and approximately 35 minutes from Pretoria. Our well-planned and appetizing menus are prepared and presented by our very talented and highly trained chef, who working alongside our dedicated team has made The Bridge famous for its high quality food and professional service. We offer both plated and buffet menu options. At The Bridge we are dedicated and passionate about ensuring your day is everything you hoped for. Your special occasion will be handled with great care and professionalism. There are no hidden charges or hidden costs for the venue. Should you wish, we can assist you with your floristry, musical and wedding cake requirements. All of these are optional additional services that we offer.

Our Venue Options

The Mulder Room   The Mulder Room, with its charming ambience, creates the perfect setting for your evening function. This beautiful reception room can seat up 180 guests and leads out onto the stoep overlooking the fountains and gardens leading down to the rivers edge. The stoep area can seat up to 50 guests and is ideal for smaller weddings and functions. The reception room and the stoep are divided by large sliding doors and can be used together if required.

The Riverhouse   Our Riverhouse is a unique setting for breakfast and lunch garden weddings and is sheltered at the rivers edge with wooden decking extending over the Wilgespruit river. This protected venue is ideal for outside weddings and functions and is stunningly situated in a tranquil part of our gardens.

Your Ceremony   For weddings we have a country chapel that comes complete with drapes, chair covers, fairy lights, lectern, registry table, red carpet, two flower stands and tie back sashes down the aisle.

You may prefer a romantic gazebo, situated on the bank of the river for your wedding ceremony, that you can drape and decorate with fresh flowers. As a special touch, we have a small rowboat we use to bring the bride to the wedding service which is a very unique way of arriving at your wedding. The use of the chapel, gazebo and boat is included in your fee.

Table Settings

The Bridge provides you with: tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery, linen, glassware, chair covers, a choice from 30 different coloured overlays, tie backs on every other chair in the venue and draping with fairy lights behind main table and fairy lights on main table in The Mulder Room. As we do not charge venue hire certain conditions apply regarding minimum costs. For a small price we can offer the hire of extras including slate or glass underplates and coloured tablecloths
