St Fort, where the legendary Mushroom rock can be seen in all its splendour, provides the total Eastern Free State experience. Set on 2200 acres of Free State mountain farmland, St Fort boasts a sandstone farm house, built in 1913 and lovingly restored into a luxurious and comfortable four-star guest house. It is situated 5 km from Clarens in a stunning setting surrounded by mountains. Hiking trails, mountain biking trails, camp sites, unique picnic spots, the superb guest house and of course, the unique wedding venue provide the experience of a lifetime.

The wedding venue, a renovated sandstone barn, provides the ideal opportunity to create a true farmstyle wedding, but with every modern facility needed to make the wedding an unforgettable experience. Up to 150 persons can be catered for, and every detail can be arranged by our experienced and creative wedding coordinator. The farm has the most breathtakingly beautiful scenery, to create wonderful photographs of the bride, bridegroom and their entourage. Accommodation
The guest house at St. Fort has 5 en-suite bedrooms, divided into 2 separate units. The smaller unit has 2 bedrooms with its own lounge, kitchen, verandah and garden, and is mostly used for self-catering. The larger unit has 3 bedrooms with its own lounge, kitchen, verandah and garden and can be used for either B & B or self-catering. Antique furniture, DSTV and all the comforts of home are what make this destination truly unique in the area. If required,  additional accommodation can be arranged by the wedding coordinator.
