Like the Lebombo Euphorbia tree, the design of Lebombo Lodge is one of a kind. The sweeping wooden decks provide the perfect vantage point from which to watch the theatre that unfolds before you. The lap pool that lines the dining area reflects the beauty of the nearby N’wanetsi River, while large sunbeds beckon you to enjoy a relaxing afternoon.
Each of the fifteen suites feature glass, wood, steel and contemporary finishes. Inside, the romantic beds are dressed with Egyptian cotton bedding, silky-soft throws and a layered lattice ceiling.
Enjoy dinner in the boma, with the sounds of the bushveld as background music, and then spend the evening sleeping under the stars on the bed of your private terrace – complete with mosquito net. |

Immediately below Lebombo, in dappled shade of the Sweni River’s tree-lined banks, Sweni Lodge is a delightfully intimate camp. The rooms are architectural replicas of Lebombo’s glorious glass-wall structures, whilst the central area is are a sea of chocolate and avocado fabrics, contemporary dining and cool swimming pool, all orientated to take full advantage of the aquatic activity of the riverfront.
There are six double suites, accommodating only twelve guests, all tucked into the ravine forest and affording wonderful views of sunbathing terrapins, cruising crocodiles and feeding jacanas. A night spent sleeping on the deck under the stars is magical way to enjoy the proximity to nature and the cheerful dawn chorus. |

What to bring |
|
|
|
Since we want your safari experience to be perfect and completely comfortable, we recommend a few items that we believe you should remember to bring along:
From June to September be sure to pack a few warmer items for cooler mornings and evenings. Days are warm, but a jacket/fleece will be needed for the safaris.
From October to May temperatures rise and cool, light clothing is once again recommended. Try to keep colours neutral for the safaris. Dark colours such as navy blue and black tend to attract the tsetse flies and other bugs. Comfortable walking shoes, track shoes or boots will be suitable as well as sandals to wear around at meals and within the lodge area. Shorts or skirts and short-sleeve shirts for the warm midday periods. Dinners are casual. Swimming costume. Sun block, sun hat, sunglasses and lip balm. Mosquito / insect repellant. Extra pair of correction glasses (if you wear them). Contact lens solution and an extra set of contact lenses (if required). Cameras, binoculars and your favourite film. We do sell film at the lodges but our stock is very limited. Spare memory card if you use a digital camera. Video camera and a spare battery. (Batteries can be recharged in your suite; electricity voltage is 220V. Power converters and spare video cassettes are available on request). Each room is equipped with bathrobes, slippers, hair dryer and basic amenities. |
