Meerendal
Meerendal Wine Estate is situated in the cool Durbanville area twenty minutes outside Cape Town. The estate dates back to 1702, when the farm was granted to Jan Meerland, one of the founding fathers of viticulture in South Africa. This 300 year old estate with its 120 hectares of vineyard has undergone a renaissance since 2004 in order to blend our rich heritage with time honoured wine making techniques. Our passion is to create wines that express the character of Meerendal, its vineyards and its people.
