Africa Knotted Roots Guest House is a country retreat that gives you time away from the hustle and bustle of the everyday, in a tranquil relaxed atmosphere.

Aptly named after the Knotted root tree that was planted in 1938, the 400 hectare game reserve is also home to wildebeest, ostriches, zebras and antelope, which can be viewed on guided open-vehicle game drives, birding safaris and bush walks.

Tying the Knot at Africa Knotted Roots

Make your vows in our quaint historic Knotted Roots Chapel as many couples have done since 1938. We are able to seat up to 120 guests in our Chapel.

The idea of exchanging marital vows in this rustic place of worship, sparks feelings of warmth and intimacy that remain timeless! Long after the wedding ceremony has ended.

Our gardens and surrounding farm are a perfect backdrop for your all important wedding photographs.

A stone pathway lined with Iceberg roses will lead you and your guest to the banquet hall after you have tied the knot.

The banquet hall is situated only 100m from the chapel and caters for up to 200 guests with  a charming fully licensed bar.

Accommodation

 
Retreat to our romantic old-charm luxurious honeymoon suite with a very comfortable oval stone bath and shower, walk-in cupboard, lounge with TV, bar fridge, hospitality tray and private dining area. This spacious charming suite overlooks  the lush garden.

You will be spoilt with all the extras a honeymoon room has to offer.

Awake to the sound of bird song, have a leisurely full English breakfast in the privacy of your room.  However, if you intend on having an early start to your honeymoon hideaway, we will send you on your way with our complimentary famous Knotted-picnic basket.
