Our Valley Camp offers 6 custom designed luxury tents with an emphasis on spaciousness and quality. Romantically nestled away in a charming valley, the tents are surrounded by indigenous forest with spacious private timber decks.
Tents are furnished with twin three quarter beds, all with cloud 9 mattresses and Percale linen. Headboards are trimmed with brass and have bedside tables and lamps as well as a matching dresser, 2 leather easy chairs and a butlers tray.
The bathrooms are fitted with both a slipper bath and a four sided glass shower, a vanity slab with a hand basin as well as a hanging area for clothing. All finishes are of the highest quality.
The tents also offer guests tea making facilities with a bar fridge stocked with a variety of South African wine and malt as well as soft drinks.
The partially covered private deck is large and has 2 easy chairs with a coffee table. All tents have 3 roofs, the inside roof has ventilation flaps to control the temperature, the second roof is the water proofing and the outside roof is used for shade and helps moderate the temperature. All tents have insect mesh on all openings.
In the evenings, our honeymoon couples can relax in the Sunset Lapa, just a stones throw from the Valley Camp and set on a majestic hillside, with matchless views of our African sunset. It is a heavenly place to enjoy South Africa's rich tradition of wine and conversation.
The stone walls of the Sunset Lapa have been culled directly from Inkwenkwezi's native geology, and harmonize beautifully with its traditional thatched roof.
An informal lounge area houses a stock of books and games, so there's always a good excuse to curl up next to the cozy indoor fireplace or the open-air firepit for conversation.
During the day our honeymoon couples can enjoy the company of our expert guides as you view an abundance of wildlife from our 4x4Landrovers. Whether you prefer a morning or afternoon game drive, you'll enjoy a heart-pounding drive through our lion reserve and a personalized elephant encounter.
Couples can bask in the sights and sounds of a range of pristine bush habitats from the comfortable seat of a mountain bike, led by our expert guides.
Enjoy a game drive at dusk, as the sunset coaxes the reserve's nocturnal residents into view. View game in their natural habitat as you tackle the terrain on one of our quads or take in the open plains and fresh air and see it all on horseback.
Our beautiful and romantic Emthombeni Restaurant offers an elegant, authentically African dining experience where you can savor an epicurean meal amid the sumptuous ambience of high, thatched roofs and rich stone flooring, or move out onto the elevated timber viewing deck to dine over a swath of the Indian Ocean and the African bush.
