About Us
Garonga Safari Camp is an exclusive 12 bed camp in the greater Makalali Conservancy situated west of the Kruger National Park.  This unassuming sanctuary promises an intimate wildlife encounter in an unhurried environment where you can unwind, sleep deeply and be yourself. Garonga Safari Camp is a proud member of Classic Safari Camps of Africa. The camp is north-facing which allows sunlight to stream in, and its prime location affords magnificent views over the reserve.

		Our Weddings
		Your wedding is said to be one of the most memorable days in your life - however, this is often not the case, and unnecessary stress and irritation can occur when things do not run as smoothly as planned. Garonga will not only offer you a place of tranquility to hold your dream wedding, but we will be able to assist you in coordinating and organising the event – thereby leaving you free to relax and enjoy your special day in style.  The Garonga staff are well trained and highly capable of catering to your individual needs to ensure that you have a truly unforgettable wedding. There are various options available - picture yourself doing the following: • Your wedding morning – indulge in a delicious breakfast followed by a relaxing massage. • Light lunch after the ceremony (Summer only) on an adorned elevated deck that overhangs the riverbed. • A game drive with champagne in the bush as the sun sets, or a Bush Bath with champagne at sunset. • A private dinner on the lower deck to continue the celebration. The Ceremony The ceremony for your wedding can be organised to take place in any one of the stunning areas at Garonga or Little Garonga – such as the pool deck or in the bush itself. The sleep-out deck is another venue that is highly recommended.  A Non-Denominational Priest will arrange for all the documentation to be completed correctly. The priest will meet with the couple for an hour on the day before the service to finalize documentation. In order to ensure this process runs smoothly, the bride and groom will require the following documents:  • Passports •Original divorce papers from previous marriages (if applicable) The Priest will conduct the service in a very friendly, relaxed manner and it will have a hint of an African theme to it.

Our Accommodation
African Accommodation inspired by Nature The accommodation at Garonga Safari Camp reflects the surroundings of the bush's textured earthy colours and clean lines have been incorporated with fine linen to ensure pure comfort, a tempting place to lie and meditate for hours. Tented Rooms - Shower under the stars The Tented Rooms are situated overlooking a dry riverbed - each with a wooden deck complete with hammock that commands spectacular views. The rooms are light, airy and spacious with large, draped beds. In addition to the indoor shower, there is an outdoor shower, providing the perfect link between the luxury of the suite and the allure of Mother Nature. The food at Garonga Safari Camp is a fusion of the resident chef's exceptional culinary skills and there is a varied selection of excellent South African wines - making every meal at Garonga an unforgettable experience.  Little Garonga Little Garonga has three fully en-suite, thatched and air-conditioned suites, all situated around centralized indoor/outdoor lounge areas, a swimming pool and built-in braai/BBQ area. Each suite has its own platform deck complete with hammock.  Escape to our Sala, and feel invigorated and calmed by the Aromatherapy and Reflexology treatments we have on offer. Take time out for yourself - take a bath in the bush Take some time for yourself and breathe in the fresh air of the bushveld - revitalise your mind, body and soul. You may sleep out on your own on a beautiful deck with stunning views overlooking the veldt. A mouth-watering picnic hamper, a drinks box, and hot drinks are left for you at the deck. You are left with a radio and will get collected in the morning. A wash basin and toilet close by are provided. It is a 20 minute drive from the main camp. A truly magical experience!
