		Getting There and Away Travel To reach Fundu Lagoon you will need to fly to Chake Chake airport which is located in the center of Pemba Island. From the airport you will be transferred to Mkoani Port, this interesting journey takes you past beautiful villages and lush agricultural areas. One at the port we provide a private boat which cruises around the peninsular to Fundu Lagoon. Regular flights depart Dar el Salaam to Pemba. Please note that Fundu Lagoon is closed between the 16th of April and 14th of June each year. Visa's A valid passport with a Tanzania visa will be required.  Contact your nearest Travel Advisor or Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.  We recommend at least 10 days notice be given.   Vaccinations and health Precautions Zanzibar/Pemba are malaria zones, and it is recommended that you consult your doctor or a registered travel clinic before departure.  Accommodation at Fundu Lagoon has robust mosquito nets over beds and mosquito proof windows, but we recommend that you bring a good personal mosquito repellent for use in the evenings.  Please note that if you intend to dive, you are not permitted to do so if you are taking ‘Larium’ malaria pills.  Please bring a doctor’s certificate if you have had any medical condition that could make diving dangerous for you.
