INTIMATE VENUE – LUXURY ACCOMMODATION – FINE DINING
The Forum Homini experience begins with the unique architecture alluding to the fascinating story of the history of mankind.
Set within a private game reserve this 5 star hotel offers 12 luxury suites, one presidential and one honeymoon suite – cut into the earth, with grass covered roofs, evoking a feeling of luxury cave living. Each suite features a fireplace and stalactite lights, a king-size bed enveloped in a romantic tulle canopy leading into a waterfall of sparkling coloured beads which cascades over the doorway to an open door double shower. A luxurious bath for two is set in the lounge, so you can bathe in bubbles while overlooking your own private patio and the pristine bushveld, where antelope and zebra graze peacefully on the distant hills beyond. Guests are spoiled with a gourmet experience at award-winning roots restaurant, which opens up to a wide deck with tranquil lake views. Here the Roots team is inspired to innovate and create menu’s that change daily – essentially French with subtle African and Asian influences – course matched with wines to complement each dish.
At Forum Homini, every visit is a journey of discovery and after eons of bipedal locomotion our species can now put its feet up! This is luxury living beyond the mists of time.

YOUR DAY – YOUR SPECIAL PLACE
It’s that time in every woman’s life the dream that has played over and over again in her head is about to become a reality – her wedding day. Looking for the perfect wedding venue can be attributed to nothing short of nightmarish, but, amongst the stress and chaos, there is a bright side, a flicker of hope and it’s named Forum Homini Boutique Hotel. Set on a private game estate in The Cradle of Humankind, this hotel offers intimate weddings, renewal of vows and a honeymoon destination, the quintessential haven for any special occasion. With nothing less than 5-star service in a 5-star hotel, this choice is a very natural one.
Picture the scene and comfort: In an untouched Highveld savannah, full of indigenous birds, wildlife and fragrant fauna, bridal couples will have exclusive use of the hotel and roots restaurant for up to 80 guests.
There are various spaces to choose from for your special day, the greek-style amphitheatre is ideal as a chapel with a difference. For an inside alternative, declare your love in the majestic Forum, with its striking and stunning décor and a mural by Paul du Toit that spreads over the length of the back wall, adding that little bit of uniqueness to the venue.
For smaller weddings there is the boma area, a soft grassy area encircled by stone totems illustrated with pre-historic drawings, which overlooks a lake.
Receptions are held in Roots Restaurant which offers a modern minimalistic surrounding and décor. Spoil your guests to a fine dining 6 course experience with refined and soulful dishes that exude passion in every bite. A full length wooden deck, which overlooks the lake, can be used for pre-dinner drinks or for guests to relax whilst photographs are being taken. Lit up by candles and crystals, this area can be incorporated into Roots as the reception area and set the tone for what is expected to be a perfect celebration on a perfect wedding day!

Our wedding was better than we could ever have imagined – thanks to the team at Forum Homini. Not only is it a world-class venue but the staff were obliging and friendly. From the first day we started planning our wedding with Tarryn; the wedding coordinator; we were treated like royalty and nothing was too much of an effort for her. To this day our guests still comment on the venue, the service and of course – the food!
