Castle Marina is situated in the historic village of Deneysville, on the Gauteng and Orange Free State border just an hour’s drive from Johannesburg. The Castle was built by Lord Sumner, an Englishman who fell in love with the peace of the vast Vaal Dam and country life.

Every bride dreams about her wedding day, the day she becomes a princess bride. Be a princess forever after!

Castle Marina is hired without any co-ordination and you have the freedom to arrange your special day exactly the way you want it.

The chapel seats 100 guests. The banquet hall has a real medieval feel with its black and white tiled floor and spiral staircase leading to a large rooftop balcony with spectacular views of the Dam. The centre tower serves as a bar with sleeper serving hatches. The large functional kitchen offers caterers a centre island and floor to ceiling shelving for stacking and storing. The buffet room adjacent to the kitchen has proved to be invaluable for serving meals.

The Juliet Suite offers the bride ample space to have a romantic foam bath in its olde worlde open plan bathroom, doing hair and make-up, before getting dressed for the big event. The King size bed and breakfast table make the newly weds’ stay really comfortable, should they prefer to stay and enjoy their function instead of travelling in the night.

The suite also has a kitchenette stocked with breakfast goodies for the next morning, and a lounge area with T.V.

We have both a bar facility on the roof of Castle Marina, as well as kitchen facilities for your own caterer to use.
