Our acclaimed Bakenhof Rose, Red and White wines help you to unwind, relax and complete the wine-farm experience. Dedicated to elegant celebrations for up to 50 guests, we go to tremendous effort to provide a lavish and refined air for exclusive, intimate functions and weddings. A range of options and various areas are on offer to cater for your specific needs and we are flexible in allowing for last minute changes, should there be a change in weather or plans. All areas are tastefully finished and furnished, appealing to the discerning bridal couple in search of a unique and upmarket venue. Your Wedding at Bakenhof
The Wedding Ceremony… A number of churches and places of worship are in close proximity but as an additional option we offer various on-site areas to pledge your vows, be it indoors or outdoors.  To ensure your privacy these areas are only available in conjunction with booking the Wedding Reception Venue, and can also be used for other purposes i.e. Welcome Drinks, photographs etc. The Wedding Reception… To ensure exclusivity the Reception Venue is only available in conjunction with booking Bakenhof Guesthouse for the duration of wedding activities. Choose the Formal Lounge as an elegant setting to host a candle lit-long table affair or enjoy the magical mood besides the lit up tropical pool area whilst dancing the night away. Enjoy a brunch under white umbrellas with breathtaking mountain and vineyard views or have a romantic picnic with friends besides the blooming rose garden. All options include the use of the kitchen, cold room, bar, formal lounge, pool lounge and all outdoor areas. In addition the 5 well appointed luxury suites offer accommodation for up to 14 discerning guests. Our spectacular setting, gardens and grounds offer many wonderful backdrops for photo opportunities. Our flexibility accommodates changing weather conditions and additional décor and furniture can be arranged on request. And for those getting married elsewhere… Our bridal packages feature the unique “Romance for Two” or the luxurious “Weekend Wedding Party” option.  During weekdays brides and bridesmaids can enjoy the luxury to prepare and dress in lavish surroundings. The package includes a private setting for stunning pre-wedding photos and accommodation for the bridal couple in the romantic honeymoon suite. The 2 night weekend package provides a relaxed environment for brides and their girlfriends to spend the night before the wedding and to enjoy wedding preparations. After the celebration the bridal couple returns to the private honeymoon suite and provide 8 - 12 VIP special guests with stunning overnight accommodation. The following morning newlyweds may opt for breakfast in bed or join their overnight guests for a farewell champagne brunch to mark the end of a special celebration.

Honeymooners… Irresistibly romantic and supremely private, access to this suite is down a meandering, peach-husk covered driveway. Entry is via the private patio which opens onto a spacious suite featuring a dreamy canopy bed, a plush lounge and en-suite bathroom with double basins, heated towel rails, corner bath and spacious shower. Full length mirrors offer the bride a top-to-toe view and “dressing room” lights around the mirror add a theatrical flair. This suite is furnished with a kitchenette, complete with microwave, bar fridge and tea & coffee facilities. The comfortable lounge overlooks a rose garden and completes this private honeymoon haven. A double sun-lounger awaits guests on the private patio along with a French-Provence style outdoor table and chairs, creating the perfect spot to enjoy your morning coffee or sundowner later in the evening.

The Guesthouse… The 5 en-suite bedrooms all lead onto private patios and have been decorated with lavish attention to detail. Each suite has its own theme which has been achieved through a mix of eclectic-modern flair and classic-revival. The aroma of a full English Breakfast will be your wake-up call and our Chef's Daily Specials will impress even the most indulgent 'foodie'.   Our informal African-themed lounge provides self-service hot and cold drinks throughout the day and an indoor space for relaxation and recreation.
